Barakah Trading & Consultancy

Overview

Fixed windows have no moving parts, which means a slimmer frame and a larger uninterrupted glass area than any opening window of the same size — the right choice wherever the view and daylight matter more than ventilation.

Barakah supplies and installs fixed aluminium-framed glazing to size, often alongside opening sashes within the same frame, with glass specification chosen for solar control, safety, or acoustic performance as the project requires.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If a fixed window doesn't open, how does the room get ventilated?

Fixed panels are almost always specified alongside an opening sash — a casement, sliding, or top hung section within the same combined frame — so you get maximum glass area plus working ventilation where it's needed.

Can fixed windows be made very large?

Yes, that's their main advantage — without hinges or tracks to support, fixed glazing can go larger than an equivalent opening window, subject to glass thickness and structural sign-off for oversized panels.

Do fixed windows need solar control glass in direct sun?

We'd recommend it. A solar-control or low-e coating cuts heat gain significantly on large, sun-facing fixed panels without darkening the room noticeably.
