Curtain Wall
Aluminium-framed curtain wall systems for commercial and high-rise building facades.
Overview
A curtain wall is the defining element of a modern commercial building — a continuous glass and aluminium skin that shields the structure while flooding interiors with daylight.
Barakah installs stick-built and unitised curtain wall systems using thermally broken aluminium profiles and double-glazed insulating units. Each project is co-ordinated with the structural engineer and main contractor to ensure that movement joints, drainage, and air-tightness details are correctly executed.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between stick-built and unitised curtain wall?
Stick-built systems are assembled piece by piece on site; unitised systems arrive as pre-glazed panels craned into place. Unitised is faster to install on tall buildings but has a longer lead time upfront.
How is air and water tightness guaranteed on a curtain wall?
Through engineered movement joints, drainage paths, and gasket detailing co-ordinated with the structural engineer — we test these details before they're repeated across the full facade.
Can a curtain wall include opening windows for natural ventilation?
Yes — vented panels and integrated louvres can be built into a curtain wall system at the design stage.
