Double Glazing
Insulated double-glazed units for windows, doors, and facades — better thermal and acoustic performance from the same opening.
Overview
Double glazing seals two panes of glass around an insulating air or argon gap, cutting heat transfer and outside noise far more effectively than a single pane — without changing how a window or door looks or operates.
Barakah specifies and installs double-glazed units across our window, door, and facade ranges, choosing the coating and gas fill that best matches the project’s climate and noise exposure.

Frequently asked questions
How much heat/noise reduction does double glazing actually give?
It varies with gas fill and coating, but a typical double-glazed unit cuts heat transfer significantly versus single glazing and meaningfully reduces external noise — we can specify higher-performance coatings for busier roads or stronger sun exposure.
Does double glazing work with my existing aluminium or uPVC frames?
Yes — double glazing is compatible with both our aluminium and uPVC window and door ranges; it's a glass specification, not a different frame system.
Is argon-filled glazing worth the extra cost?
For most residential projects a standard air-filled double-glazed unit performs well; argon fill adds a meaningful insulation improvement and is worth specifying for rooms with high heating/cooling demand.
